Operation Jump Start & Barbershop Men of Prayer teamed up with Microsoft at the University Town Center Mall in Sarasota, Florida to send school supplies for victims of Hurricane Harvey in the Houston, TX area. "It was a privilege to partner with a major company like Microsoft to share a similar goal," says OJS CEO Sheldon Cantrell.
Greg Buchanan, President of Barbershop Men of Prayer, said this was an opportunity he could not pass to help those in need and is preparing to do the same for expected victims of Hurricane Irma. Irma is projected to hit Florida this weekend.
The donations totaled to help more than 250 students. Each organization has agreed this is the first of many collaborations to help those in need.
